The sun shines and the weather is perfect on the Misano World Circuit for the 125cc San Marino and Rimini Riviera. The numerous and passionate italian public has as always seen a race rich of overtakings and sensations. Has won Gabor Talmacsi, that in this week end collected pole, victory and fastest lap, with 5"402 on Bradley Smith and 14"388 on Simone Corsi, all of them on the Aprilia RSA.
Talmacsi starts very well from the pole with Smith close to him, and they begins to impose a very fast rhythm, giving a second each lap to the others. The struggle for the third place is red hot with Terol, Bradl, Corsi, Di Meglio, Espargaro and Olive, author of an excellent reassembles, all fighting with overtakings to the limit. The more hot are Di Meglio and Corsi, considering that they are the principal contenders to the world title, and they succeed in detaching the others. On lap fifteenth the French crashes in the first corner and so the battle for the title is reopened, Corsi gets third position with Olive behind. The two fight up to the end with the Roman rider that tries to overtake the spanish that is always ready to close any space. On the last lap Corsi is always fourth but in the Carro corner succeeds in overtaking the Iberian rider. After few seconds Olive crashes in the last corner. In front of them Talmacsi, that in the last six laps keeps a great pace, leaves Smith behind and arrives alone on the finishing line conquering for Aprilia the victory number 300 (in all the classes and specialties, Motogp, Superbike, Motocross, Enduro, Trial and Motard). Now Talmacsi is back on fight for the world title with only 39 points from Di Meglio, while Corsi it reduces his gap till 16 points, and now is -28 from the transalpine.
"I am happy - has said Talmacsi - not only for the splendid victory but also in the set up of the motorbike, is finally very ease to me and I drive my RSA as I want after all the problems in the beginning of the season. The crash of Di Meglio has changed the situation of the World championship. The competition has been very hard, the heat was unbearable and the bike slipped a lot. Already from the tests I knew to have a good rithm so I have immediately pushed strong and only Smith has tried to remain behind me, then in the end of the race after a small error I have forced again and I have succeeded in detaching him and conquering this important victory."
"I am very happy - has declared Corsi - to climb on the podium in the home race is always a beautiful emotion. The race has been difficult, I had problems after the start and I lost the 'train' of Talmacsi. Anyway I have recovered sixteen points and the struggle for the world title is reopened. I have to recover other points starting from Indianapolis."
Fifth place for Nico Terol followed by Andrea Iannone, tenth place for Gadea, eleventh Vazquez, thirteenth Ranseder, fourteenth Webb. Withdrawals of Bradl, Savadori, Sabatino and Bonsey and the crashes of Redding and Martin.
